If you have ever went to Yahoo and asked a question there are
thousands of people available to answer your question. I just happen to be one of these people. Anyone can do this, you need no special training. You don’t get paid for doing it either. The reason I do it is because I want people to look at my advice and then click on my name which will show them my profile and the address for my blog. I try to only answer questions in the Books section as its fellow readers and writers that I am trying to attract. But sometimes I get out of my element and answer other questions. It’s been an eye opening experience as there are MANY sad and lonely people in the world. The questions from the
children are the most painful.
A little girl in Ireland last week spoke about how she was being abused by her parents and how she turned them into social services but that no one would help. Because she’s in a different country it’s even more difficult to find her help. Thankfully someone from her own country
gave her a good answer; hopefully she gets the help she deserves.
I also saw a question from a young girl in the USA who posted a
picture of herself and wanted to know what she could do to make herself prettier. The answers she received were appalling. Someone told her to put a bag on her head, another person told her she looked like a boy with her hair so short and others told her to pile on makeup and to dye her hair. But not me! For starters I called all the other adults who had answered “bullies” and I told her she was beautiful just the way she was. I told her to talk to her mother if she wanted to make some changes to her appearance and I cautioned her about posting her picture for the world to see.
I’m talking this new job VERY seriously. Sometimes now I don’t even care if they click on my link, I just hope they listen to me and maybe their lives can be a little better. People also get to vote on the best answers and I have received several “best” awards so far which only makes my head bigger and makes me want to answer more questions.
I love to give advice because I am one of those people who have an answer for everything. Even though I may not always be right, I am always willing to put my two cents in. I think having an advice column in a newspaper would be the easiest job in the world. Someday I would like to have a web site where I could give people advice. But for now I will stick with Yahoo Answers and continue to build my platform and save the world at teh same time. I also signed up for a Twitter account and my Twitter name is AniMAASity but I could only find one person that I know on Twitter. If you have a Twitter account please let me know. I also need to find other writing blogs to read, if you know of any please pass them along to me.
Now I must end with a little story. Many, many moons ago I met a
young, handsome stranger in a bar. I asked him his name but the band was really loud and I couldn’t hear (or see) very well. I thought he said his name was Chris Peehole. For a long time I called him that until one day he corrected me and said his last name was actually Vitto. To make a long story short I have been friends with his family for many years now. In fact, his sister Carla Vitto, just got on the bus! Welcome little sister! In the back of the bus Lisa Hun is giving free massages, Michelle Rundle is giving free shots…flu shots
that is, Mindy Sears is painting her next masterpiece and Robin
Hilleshiem-Palmer is working on coming up with a longer name.
Until tomorrow – Peace Out!
