Today, the Telegraph Herald Newspaper out of “Dubuque Iowa” decided to put the Chicago Bears, on the front page of the sports section. So the Bears ended a five game losing streak, la, de, da. Now granted there was a small blub on the front page about the Packer story on page 2B, but they still
deserved to be on the front page of the sports section at the very least.
When the game started, I didn’t even know who Matt Flynn was. By the end of the game I was screaming his name and he was my new hero. It was unbelievable watching him as he broke NFL records. Who would have thought that “Flynn” was our Ace in the hole all this time? It was a great game, and a great way to start the New Year, but the TH needs to buck-up, and give credit where
credit is due.
My web-page and blog has ads that appear in
different places. I want you to know that I have nothing to do with these ads. I noticed yesterday that “political” ads are starting to pop up. Because I live in
Iowa, and because Iowa is a keyword on the blog, I am being targeted for this type of ad. Regardless of who the ad is for, or against, I don’t support any of them. Google pay’s me for letting them post ads on my blog. The more traffic my site has, and the number
of people that click on the ads, determines how much money I make. So far I’ve earned a whopping $5.00. That won’t even buy me a Happy Meal. Thanks Google!
I finished the first round of editing last night and sent the document off to Anastasia Wraight, the editor. I’m assuming that is her “pen” name but you never know. At the end of her e-mail, detailing what I should do, she wrote that she likes the fact that the main character in my book lives in “Dubuque”as that is where she is originally from. What are the odds that she and I would be from the same place? My publisher, Rainstorm Press, is in California. I don’t know where she lives now, as many people in this business telecommute. I wrote her a note to see if maybe we have met or have connections, I will let you
know. I’m still waiting (on pins and needles) for the cover to be finished as well.
A few people commented yesterday about hair and the fact that people with straight hair attempt to make their hair “big.” My friend, Melon, said
she is trying to grow some hair back. This reminded me of the Randy Travis song:
Forever and Ever Amen
They say time takes its toll on a body
Makes a young girls brown hair turn grey,
Well, honey, I don’t care
I ain’t in love with your hair
And if it all fell out
Well I’d love you anyway.
There you have it Mel, my thoughts exactly. Hair is just something for us all to complain about. And with big hair, straight hair, or no hair at all, I’d still love you anyway!
Have an amazing day passengers, and try not to break any of those resolutions!
