Check out the TH today, my book and book signing information is listed in a very nice article. With a population of over 60,000 in the city of Dubuque alone, I hope to sell a few books today or to maybe see a few more faces at my book signing. I would post the link for you to see but the TH requires an online subscription to be able to access online information. Ain’t nothing for free anymore.
Daylight Savings Time
Thankfully daylight savings time arrives on the weekend when the majority of us can afford to lose an hour of sleep. And thankfully the kids don’t have school this week as that will help get them back in line. But what the hell, who are we to change the time? What gives us the right to change what
time it is? Can’t we just deal with the difference in when the sun comes up and goes down? It will take me a week or more to figure out how to change the time on all the digital clocks in the house and in my car. And I constantly think backwards, right now it would REALLY be an hour earlier, that’s why I’m tired,
or hungry. But the time I get used to the real time, it’s time to change it back. I can’t win.
One year ago today I lost a very important person in my life, my grandmother. She told me once that being called grandma made her feel old so from that day forward I called her Gram. She loved to read and I wish she would have had the opportunity to read my book and to come to my book signing. Hopefully they have a good Internet connection in heaven and she is reading my blogs every day. And if I knew Amazon delivered to heaven, I would order her a book and have it shipped overnight express. I love and miss you so much Gram XOXOXOXOXOXOX
The votes are in and it looks like the majority of you share my concern with my hubby getting a motorcycle. His mother called last night to see if I was still alive after posting what I did yesterday. I informed her that he hadn’t read my blog yet. He overheard the conversation and went straight to my
blog. He said I just use him for blog material and I agreed. There couldn’t be BETTER blog material than what he provides. He didn’t disagree about the
motorcycle either but in the end I still think he will get one. He will do it just because he’s a man and just because he wants to try to prove me wrong. So I
will take the advice that Judy Ludowitz provided in the blog comments and will get a big, fat insurance policy.
Get outside and enjoy the day passengers, you can always take a nap later and regain that hour of sleep you lost. Have a fun day Sunday!
