toilet paper to each and everybody.
The kids seem to like me; we have conversations that are fun. But
they never want to help me out when things are said and
They never change the roll when the last little piece is taken,
they leave me high and dry and I cry and I’m not faking.
Then they sit upon the potty and yell with all their might, for
mom to come and help them out cause the papers out of sight.
As I hold the empty tube mom looks at me and grins, I try hard
but it seems even a cute little snowman can’t win.
Mom has all but given up on this tiny little deed, she begs and
pleads and threatens but they still cry out in need.
I am a cute little snowman, I sit beside the Lou, some days it’s
not like a bathroom but more like a zoo.
If you ever come to visit, I’m a cute little soul. Please do me and mom a favor and replace the stupid roll.
Some of my friends are not familiar with getting a large quantity
of snow. This picture is deceiving: it looks beautiful but it really isn’t. The
branches on this tree are too high for me to reach in the summer time. The snow was so wet and heavy that is busted the branches. All of the branches hanging down will have to be cut off this tree in the spring. Winter can be brutal.
The kids had two snow days in a row and are lucky to begin winter
break on Monday. It’s so cold out right now that they play in the snow for thirty minutes or so and come in with cheeks stinging from the cold. Jack Frost doesn’t nip at your nose in Iowa; he gnaws on your whole face! Sometimes it gets so cold that even salt won’t melt the ice.
love hate thing. They clear the roads but also manage to plow snow in front of everyone’s driveways. Many times they will be out long before the bad weather happens, dropping chemicals on the road to prevent freezing.
I’ve lived in many states and have experienced many ‘green’
Christmases. Once you experience a white Christmas you’ll never be happy without one.
This is my beautiful amaryllis in full bloom. It was a gift from
a gardener friend. She gave it to me on 12-1 and it was only one inch above the soil at that time. It was amazing watching it grow so fast. I’ve never had an amaryllis before and now I think that I won’t be able to live without one.
