Special thanks to Jane Issac for a wonderful blog yesterday! I love hearing about all things royal. Sadly I saw on the news today that a man, who is part of the occupy anti-elite protest movement in Australia, mooned the queen yesterday! He tucked the Australian flag between his butt checks and ran
down the street. Eventually he was arrested but come on, was that really necessary?

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hopefully today will bring
wonderful things your way such as chocolate, flowers or maybe a card from someone special. I made heart
shaped toast for breakfast and plan on making some cupcakes today if I can manage to get out of my chair. For Valentine’s Day I got a sinus infection and
dual ear infections. Thanks cupid!
So now my son is saying his ear hurts and five-year-old logic comes into play. Is he saying his ear hurts because he heard me say that my ears hurt? (Monkey see monkey do) Or does the kid really have an ear infection? He loves going to the doctor so I’m still not sure. This morning on the way to school I asked him if it still hurt and I offered to make him an appointment. He said it didn’t hurt anymore. But did he say that because he was afraid I would pull him out of school for the appointment and he would miss his Valentine’s party? I’m still not sure what to do. He has no other symptoms and isn’t acting sick so I guess I will just wait and see.
Instead of giving our kids candy for Valentine’s Day this year we gave them toys, my husband said we have set a new precedence. I don’t mind though, I would much rather give them toys that they will have for a while versus candy that they will eat in a day. They will get loads of candy today at school anyway. For my daughter I found a really cute Taylor Swift doll that sings. It was the last one in stock at the Dollar General Store and I paid less than ten bucks for it. My daughter loves it. She decided she wants the other dolls from the collection too. I looked on-line and these dolls are selling for $54 a crack! It must have been a fluke that they had this doll. My daughter
took her doll to school today for “sharing” but I know deep down she was worried that I was going to sell it on EBay!
I know that today should be all about hearts and
love but I have to get something off my chest. When I drop the kids off at school we have a“drop off” zone. There is enough room for six vehicles. You pull up,
let your child out and then be on your way. Some people park in the drop-off zone. They exit their vehicles and go inside the school. For the love of Pete why can’t they park somewhere else? They ruin the whole procedure for everyone. Sometimes I have to park a block away and walk my son to the school. Do these people think they are more important than everyone else? Why can’t they follow the procedure? I’m not a morning person to begin with and this
really sets me off. Thanks for listening!
Have a great day passengers and let me know about all the wonderful things you get for Valentine’s Day.
