My kids always try to talk me into buying them sugary, sweet cereal. I typically stick to my guns and say no but yesterday I bought a box of
Count Chocula and now I’m not sure if I should even let them eat it. I saw on the news that General Mill’s is now only offering this cereal, Boo Berry and Franken Berry for three weeks during October and when it’s gone it’s gone.
People addicted and in love with these cereals are buying them by
the case so they have plenty to last them throughout the year. Other people are buying it to sell on EBay during the off months. Canadian’s are also visiting the US in groves and buying tons as General Mills doesn’t offer the product there. There was only one box left when I was at Wal-Mart so I snagged it right away and it wasn’t even in the cereal aisle, it was in the Halloween costume section.
I remember eating these cool cereals when I was growing up –they’ve been on the market for over forty years! I suppose I will let the kids
eat it and maybe it will become a Halloween tradition from here forward.
The kids had bowling league on Saturday and there was a Halloween
costume contest to boot. Mac dressed up as a zombie from the 50’s, complete with a dead poodle on her skirt. Will went as a rock star and had a red, white and blue Mohawk wig. Mac had on sparkly black shoes with bows near the toes and Will had on combat boots.
When they changed into their bowling shoes it totally transformed
their costumes. No one looks cool in bowling shoes, not even if you have a Halloween costume on. There is just something about bowling shoes that screams “uncool.” But on a good note Mac did win the contest and she was very happy.
Have you seen the new show on Animal Planet called Too Cute? If
you haven’t you aren’t missing much. The show basically follows new litters of puppies and kittens and films them doing cute animal things. It is adorable…..for about five minutes and then its mind numbing after that.
McKenzie loves the show and turns it on whenever she has the opportunity. Will hates the show with a passion and now cries whenever Mac turns it on. And watching my son cry because he hates looking at kittens and puppies is just…. too cute.
