As you can see from the above pictures there has been some progression regarding the rotting mulberry tree in my back yard. Nothing has been done about it. If I had a giant ladder and a chainsaw I would take care of it myself. I may just have to enlist the help of friends and family to help me out with this before it falls on my house.
This probably will be my last blog for a few days. My big three-day book signing adventure begins tomorrow. I’m pretty nervous about it but at the same time looking forward to seeing everyone. If they have WiFi available at the mall I will take my laptop and may do some blogging in between signing books or maybe Facebook updates but that’s not a promise. So don’t freak out and send me nasty emails if there is no new blog for a few days.
Purple Dog Poop
Several months ago I sent an idea to the Purina Dog Food Company regarding a product idea. I haven’t gotten a reply so I don’t think it went very far. I think they should put something in dog food that changes the color of the poop to bright pink, purple, orange or yellow. It would be much easier cleaning up the yard if I could see exactly what I was looking for.
My yard is now covered with leaves as my property is boarded by oak trees that are just now starting to shed their leaves. Dog poop hiding under or on top of leaves is difficult to find. We have a big yard and our dog Charlie makes sure he never goes in the same spot.
Now I understand that certain colors of poop indicate disease or sickness and I wouldn’t recommend this product for anyone that didn’t take their dog to the vet on a regular basis. But wouldn’t it be amazing to go to the park someday and be able to see the pile of dog crap before stepping in it? I did a lot of research on this too, have you ever Googled poop? Do it sometime, there is an amazing array of articles and pictures of poop. It seems our society is consumed with it.
I thought of using food coloring but online it says the coloring would break down during the digestion phase and would not be visible after it was eaten. Some people feed their dogs a cup or two of corn everyday as corn does not get digested and they claim the poop is easier to see with the yellow
from the corn. I may have to try this.
Send me your poop coloring ideas; I would love to hear them!
